Plan a Great Workout

RECOMMENDATIONS

SAFETY & RESPECT

Main Norms

Keep safety in mind at all times

Clarify who is leading the workout

Repeat Leader's instructions to limit confusion and lets Leader know that instructions were heard

Keep moving (i.e., jog in place or do continuous squats when instructions are being given)

If you need to modify an exercise because of injury, go to the back so other teammates don’t get confused by your modification

Call out hazards to teammates when running (for example, a pot hole, a downed branch, etc.)

If running on road, run facing traffic

No whining: be excited, energetic, enthusiastic, engaged

Listen to your body. If something doesn't feel right then adjust and let the Leader know why you are modifying

Be respectful in words and actions

Norms to be established by your CORE Team

Length of Workout (i.e. one hour)

Tardiness (if you’re early, you’re on time; if you’re late, we’re gone)

Inviting guests (i.e., who and when)

No politics, no religion, no swearing?

Norms for Guests

Be familiar with exercises listed on Exercises Page

Be prepared to introduce yourself and tell a little about yourself

Guests should train-up to be able to run at least 1 mile without stopping, to insure a more successful visit
